Train with purpose. Learn with depth. Step into the winter woods with confidence and resilience. Understand not only the theory behind surviving and thriving in cold environments, but also develop practical skills that keep you safe, comfortable, and capable in extreme conditions.

The Wilderness Wintercraft course is a 4-day immersive course in lowland and hinterland winter skills, often overlooked in the Bushcraft community. Winter is not a time to hang up your boots for months it’s a season to explore, observe, and refine a whole new suite of outdoor skills.

The unpredictable maritime climate of the British Isles offers an excellent training ground. Students can experience challenging weather in a safe environment, learning winter survival and bushcraft techniques that are directly transferable to global expeditions.

What it’s about
This course arms you with specialist knowledge and practical skills for safe, comfortable winter adventures in the UK or abroad. By building on solid foundations, the learning curve is manageable and allows students to focus on developing their personal winter skillset.

Drawing on over 15 years of military and civilian experience in some of the world’s harshest environments, Phil Brooke delivers insight, practical skills, and mindset coaching that ensures participants are prepared for real-life conditions.
